Hi again, fellas I attempted to figure out how to play the main theme (which is also what they play in the intro) to the song “Love Hurts” by INCUBUS today, and actually managed to do it (without an electric guitar). Then I thought, why not post a video on how to play it? So here it is. A bit rushed and I didn’t bother practicing before recording the vid but hey, if there are any problems, just send me a message guys. NOTE: Although I only teach you the riff and the chords from the intro, this is repeated throughout the entire song. So by learning what I teach you here, you can play the entire song. I played by ear, so if anyone want the tabs just ask me via youtube mail or send a comment or something, and I’ll find time to do it. I also found the chords that accompany the plucking in the song (explained near the end of the vid), and they are: E Bm DAE Bm A C. I prefer to play all of them with bar chords as it fits the song more but you can play them the normal way as well- which ever way suits you. Hey guys I’ve been getting quite a few requests on how to play this song after I uploaded a cover for it with my friends. So this is part 1 of the tutorial on how to play “That Thing You Do”, acoustic guitar version. Note that the real version of this song is a little faster but it sounds pretty bad when played at that tempo on the acoustic guitar so you’re better off learning the song my way ; ) UPDATE: I’ve just added captions that help show the chords you have to play during the video, hope that makes things clearer. Also I will sing along to a slower version of the song near the end, so if you want to know what it sounds like with vocals go near the end.
