Go to yourguitarsage.com to find out how to getcharts to 100s of songs!!! This guitar lesson vid shows you the anatomy of the guitar along with basic technique. Check out yourguitarsage.com for info on the guitar resources about charts, chords, strumming and the techniques that I use here in my videos.. For more guitar lessons, see my other free tutorials. For original and cover music by me, Erich, go to www.myspace.com . Since I’m so busy making new video tutorial lessons all the time and teaching guitar, I probably won’t have time to answer individual questions regarding guitar. Other videos cover beginner, advanced and intermediate levels. I teach rock, blues, country and just about any other style on electric or acoustic. If you can’t find your answer from the resources at the website above, keep digging into my vids, and I’m sure you will find your answer. Keep practicing!!!

FULL COURSE: su.pr For more acoustic guitar lessons, join TrueFire for free – su.pr TF on Twitter – su.pr TF on Facebook – su.pr Take your first 5 minutes of playing (or singing or ‘whatever;) and play things you’ve NEVER played before. Break free of your ruts and musical habits! Refer to your tool kit for the ’12 Steps to Exploring Open Tunings.’ Use your ‘Tuning Guide’ for the C2 tuning. When tapping a ‘chord’ (6:30) be sure to ‘tap’ the open strings first, then hammer on the actual chord notes with left hand. You may find that you can employ some of the open strings as you play melody lines or scales – and get some really cool riffs that would be impossible to do in a standard tuning. Follow your bliss! Let yourself follow the sounds, rhythms or body movements that you like – again NO RULES here!

Lots of players teach and use the 1 finger per fret method. It’s often misunderstood and causes all kinds of strange shapes and positions on the neck. Here’s a little advice on using it well. I’ve stated this in the video, but this lesson is referring to shapes down at the bottom of the neck(where most bassists spend most of their time) up at the top of the neck the frets are very close together, you can play one finger per fret all you like.

A lesson on developing on safe and comfortable left hand technique for bass guitar. My own problems with RS injury lead me to develop my concept of “neutral position,” which I teach to my student in hopes that they don’t have the same problems I did. Here are some of the things I talk about in the video that are important to keep in mind. 1. The shoulder holds up the arm, and allows all the rest of the arm to relax and go limp. 2. The elbow is most relaxed when it is bent at moderate angle. 3. The wrist is relaxed, flexible and straight. 4. The joints of all the fingers are curved, and the finger tips are all on the same horizontal plane 5. The thumb is to the left of the index finger and is roughly perpendicular to the second finger segment. Hope you enjoy!
